When the Swedish newcomer Truls Möregårdh stirred up the world elite in 2021 and became runner-up in Houston, he not only attracted the attention of spectators with his spectacular game and extravagant appearance - his racket also caused incredulous looks in table tennis circles. Because unlike the other stars, Möregårdh didn't play with a “round” racket, but rather a hexagonal racket. His supplier, Stiga , worked closely with him to develop the so-called “Cybershape” . It is said to have fundamental advantages over the conventional club face, such as the sweet spot being significantly enlarged.
